Don't make me make resolutions for the Dance Police!

I figured with the new year and all, I should make a few resolutions for 2018.

Since there weren't many shows this past week, I'll go back through some of the archives, okay?

Here goes:

Dancing Desires - Rockin' New Years Eve Dance Show - December 31 2017
I resolve to come up with better house rules when I play Monopoly.

Night Theater and Shadows Silhouettes Christmas Show - December 29 2017
I resolve to use a carrot for my snowman's nose instead of an orange.

Guerilla Burlesque
I resolve the clean my room every day.

Guerilla Burlesque
I resolve to eat more pie.

Club Image
I resolve to lick fewer toads. Seven a day is about right.

Club Image
I resolve to watch less TV... except for binge-watching cool stuff like Magicians and Twilight Zone.

Guerilla Burlesque
I resolve to stop drawing chalk outlines around people if they fall asleep in the street.

Club Image
I resolve to be kind to animals. Except for evil wolves. I'll stab them a lot.

Debauche
I resolve to stop summoning so many demons. I only need 3 for the ritual sacrifice.

Debauche
I resolve to get a decent applause gesture instead of that stupid simple claps gesture I use. With the huge APPLAUSE sign over me that blocks everyone's view.

Debauche
I resolve to put women high up on a pedestal... and not just to upskirt them.

Guerilla Burlesque - March 10 2017 - Ana
I resolve to see my primary health care provider for a full physical instead of his witch doctor. She's out of network and a lot more expensive.

Guerilla Burlesque - March 10 2017 - Sho
Oh. Right. Clean the litterbox more often, too. I resolve to do that too.

Elysium Cabaret at Kultivate Art Show 2017
I resolve to bring an umbrella in my work bag instead of using coworkers to block the rain.

Guerilla Burlesque March 10 2017 - Exhi
Those painkillers are for pain, not for fun. I resolve to use them wisely... or if I'm in need of some really trippy shit.

Guerilla Burlesque - 2017 03 17 - jess (14)
I resolve to eat more chicken.

Shadows Silhouette Dancers_108
I resolve to drink less water before I go to bed.

Shadows Silhouette Dancers_071
I resolve to get fresh batteries for the television remote and to stop swiping them from the smoke alarm.

Guerilla Burlesque - March 31 2017
I resolve to tip the mailman more for the holidays.

Winds of the Sahara Cabaret - April 2, 2017
I resolve to be less of a jerk about grammar, even if that 1 should be a 0.

Empire Room - March 24 2017
I resolve to stop saying... oh, screw it. Psssst. Web. (piano)

Monarchs - Filling The Cauldron - April 8 2017
I resolve to take all of the recycling to the recycling center and not to build giant robot gods in the backyard.

Foxy Dancers - March 27 2017
I... um... what the hell was this?

Guerilla Burlesque - March 31 2017
Okay, I give up... no more resolutions!

Thank you, and stay tuned next Sunday for the next thrilling episode.

"Hey. It's Cave. Someone's not daaaancing. Come on. You know the law - testing IS NOT a dance exemption. Don't make me call the dance police"
- Cave Johnson, Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative Expansion Pack.

Oh oh oh... shameless plug. I've built a new in-world gallery of slideshows of lots of dance groups.

The new dance photography gallery...

You can find it at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Edloe/204/206/21

I'll be tweaking and adjusting it over the next few days... totally needs more catwalks and stairs.

Twas the night before... the Dance Police?

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

 Monarchs - December Show - December 15 2017

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;

Club Image - Christmas - December 24 2017

The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;

Muse Dance Company - Nutcracker - December 3 2017

And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap, Had just settled down for a long winter's nap, When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

Monarchs - Christmas - December 22 2017

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,

Debauche - Christmas Show - December 3 2017

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,

Elysium Cabaret - December 22 2017

With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

Club Image - December 3 2017

"Now, DASHER! now, DANCER! now, PRANCER and VIXEN! On, COMET! on CUPID! on, DONNER and BLITZEN! To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

Kiki - December 3 2017

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the house-top the coursers they flew, With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew in my hand, and was turning around, Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound. He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;

Winds of the Sahara - December 17 2017

A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

Oasis Dancers - Christmas - December 16 2017

His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!

Debauche - December 10 2017

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow; The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

Rompers - December 23 2017

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;

Club Image - Christmas - December 24 2017

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread; He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
Guerilla Burlesque - December 22 2017

And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose; He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,

The Outsiders - Christmas Show - December 12 2017

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

Main Event - December 23 2017

But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,

Winds of the Sahara Cabaret - December 23 2017

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!

Club Image - Christmas - December 24 2017

PS:
Debauche? - December 24 2017
Debauche held an audience request and participation party on Sunday, and I got a better and deeper appreciation for the talent, skill, and detail that choreographers put into their work. Expression and emotion through the motion to music isn't easy, and "In The Air Tonight" is one of my favorite routines by anyone in Second Life. Also, I learned of the frustrations of keeping these things sorted and organized, let alone getting them to load in the Second Life environment. Thank you, Laura, for the opportunity for a glimpse of the view from the stage. it really meant a lot to me, more than just conqeruing the dreaded triple-backflip.
