At Mynx our shows are performed to celebrate the world of dance and bring attention to different causes that are close to our hearts. This months performance is for RLF and we will appreciate any contributions you wish to make toward that important cause.

Harleyquin Learning Center Workshops - Jan 21st through 27th

All are welcome and no registration is required.  Come and participate or observe! 

Workshops are presented in voice, please make sure you can hear voice before arriving.  If you prefer not to participate – feel free to come listen!  Comfy chairs and class notes provided.

Please arrive early to prepare.  To allow for greater focus and to minimize distractions, the sim may be closed when the workshop begins.

5 pm slt - Spot On Smooth Dancer – Tips, Tricks, and Using Sequences within Sequences to Create Choreography    LM

My goal?  Push the tools as far as they'll go!  Find new and efficient ways to use them, and share what I learn.  Come join this informal discussion as we review tips and ideas for making the most of your Smooth Dancer HUD.
(60 mins, dance studio)

Being familiar with using and recording with the Smooth Dancer Animation and Choreography HUD is preferred.  All are welcome to attend and listen!

9 am slt - Spot On Synchronization – Starting Your Dancers Backstage     LM

Use the Performance Director?  Wish your dancers could get on their movers early?  That you could just create your route for a dance on stage and not have the first way point backstage and hope you press play fast enough to get them on stage before the curtain opens?
If you use the Performance Director, Stage Manager, and Choreography Design System you CAN do this – easily.  We will review how you can create backstage notecards, understage notecards, and other things that will take the stress from getting your dancers in position!  I will also share how I easily incorporate this into all my new dances – within minutes and across venues!
(90 min - 45 min demonstration and explanation, 45 min creating together
held in the Training Theatre)

Requirements to participate:  Must own and have used the Performance Director, Stage Manager, and Choreography Design System in performance, and be comfortable in using them.  All are welcome to attend and listen!

Cabaret Provocateur is proud to announce the next stop on their grid-wide tour of Rhapsody in Deco: The House of the Rising Sun. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 6:00 PM SLT.

Rhapsody in Deco is the latest show from choreographer Kerri Sanchez. Hearkening back to the days of Prohibition, Women's Suffrage, and Swing this show brings back the Jazz age with contemporary artist like Dimie Cat, Diana Krall and Postmodern Juke Box plus some classics from Fred Astaire and Ertha Kitt. With acts that take you through a bank heist, New York's social ballrooms, a Maxfiel Parrish fantasy and a swinging speakeasy.

Featuring our fabulous Provocateur dancers, Brooke Fiftyone, Anneke Sanchez, Sami Chauveau, Lonigale Sweetbutter, Chagen Sanchez and of course Kerri. With guest DJ and host, Alobar Valeska celebrating his 29th twenty-ninth birthday. This show has been described as "Epic," "Classic" and "Boobies" by various critics.

Rhapsody in Deco features full female nudity, please be advised and act accordingly.

Featuring elaborate sets, stunning costumes and choreography sequenced to an eclectic genre of music, Elysium Cabaret offers something for everyone.

Sign ups are now open for our new challenge show! Here's details:

The show is Saturday, April 20th 2019 @1pm SLT

Rehearsals are Sun April 14th 10am and 6pm SLT

You will pick a number between 1 and 30.  That number will correlate to someone in history.  You may not like the person you get.  You may know little to nothing about the person.  Your challenge is to research that person a bit, visit Google and Wikipedia, then create a dance inspired by that person.  The dance does NOT have to be that person's history!  It does NOT have to tell that person's story.  It can simply be a dance that conveys that person's attitude, or one that expresses that person's essence or impact on history and life, it can simply convey how that person makes you feel... it is entirely up to you how you choose to express that person.  No changing who your person is... this is a challenge, so no swapsies.  Good luck!  Have fun with it.

Performer invitation to Fantasy Faire 2019

It is that time of year when magic wake again. Growing under the frosted covers, the Faire Lands are slowly starting to come alive in this years incarnations.
And we want YOU to come and help bring them to life.

If you and your group of dancing friends have a soft spot for magic and fantasy and would like to share your performances with the Faire travelers, the Fantasy Faire is looking to fill a 10-day long program of Festivities and we would love to have YOU join us!

Dance, theater, particle shows or other kind of performances are all welcome to apply. What we ask is that it follows the general Faire rules and has a "fantasy theme".

Fantasy Faire is a Relay for Life charity event that happens yearly in SL in the later part of April. It keeps setting records each year and is one of the biggest events that occur in SL.
