Minsky's Burlesque is making a come back to SL!
The theater is now ready, and our Marketing Team is out and about pounding the pavement.. mainly looking for people interested in becoming dancers, but they have already found someone looking for a Bachelor party.. but we haven't gathered our staff line up yet! O.o
So, I am reaching out now.. looking for experienced entertainers for this special gig, especially true Burlesque and Vaudeville acts, and we will put together a group act to showcase all involved, to kick off the show, but the rest.. is up to those who accept this unique challenge!
The Show is planned for MONDAY JAN 31, 2022 5pm SLT
If you have some older sets that you can bring out and dust off, that might be just what we're looking for! Our stage is large enough to accommodate most stage sets (15D x 33W) plus we offer a nice sized runway to bring you out into the crowd. These people have never seen a Dance Queens related show, so even older acts will be 'all new' to them!
What's in it for you? 100% of Tips, as always, for Choreographers. The rest, we split, including the Booking Fee.
What are we looking for? Vintage style Burlesque acts, Vaudeville acts, Entertainers of all sorts, actually. Still interested? Great!

Fantasy Faire 2022 looking for performers!
Want to entertain at one of the biggest events of the SL year? Got a flair for fantasy fanciness? Love to spread Magic and Joy in dance, particles, magic, music or theatre?
Love to help raise money for RFL with your talents? Then fill in the application in the link below and join us for another year of fun at the Fantasy Faire.
This year's faire will happen between April 21st and May 8th and we aim to fill our program with a variety of acts performed during all hours of the day to accommodate our worldwide Faire Travellers. Do pick as many dates as you find suitable/ possible for you to perform and we will try to distribute the time slots as evenly as possible between those interested.
Last day to sign up is March 1st and the sooner we have you on our list, the bigger chance to get your preferred days and times.

For the second year, the members of Moonlight University on the Italian sim DreamsRiver are organizing a big 10-day charity event for the Italian MS foundation AISM (Associazione Italiana Sclerosi Multipla). In close cooperation with the AISM president, funds are raised for research in this field. The event brings together artists from all over the world: Singers, DJs, dancers, painters and designers.
It's all about fun, warmth and friendship and doing something good together!
The events are broadcast on web radio and live videos on Twitch, and were very widespread and successful last year.

One Billion Rising in Second Life
One Billion Rising draws it's name from the horrifying statistic that one in three women will be beaten or raped in her lifetime, a figure which equates to One Billion women across the planet. From their website:
"Every February, we rise – in countries across the world – to show our local communities and the world what one billion looks like and shine a light on the rampant impunity [for perpetrators] and injustice that survivors most often face. We rise through dance to express joy and community and celebrate the fact that we have not been defeated by this violence. We rise to show we are determined to create a new kind of consciousness – one where violence will be resisted until it is unthinkable."
One Billion Rising in Second Life has held events in support of this awareness-raising movement since 2013 and we will rise again this year on February 14, to the international theme of Artistic Uprisings. My name is Cherry Scribe, and as part of the supervising committee, I am honoured to have been asked to coordinate the DANCE region in 2022.
To that end, I am seeking professional dance teams in Second Life who would like to perform in an hour long time-slot on the One Billion Rising region during February 14. You will be given every assistance and support to present your performance from myself and the One Billion Rising team, and you will be performing on one of four regions which will also present music, drama, poetry and art through the 24 hour period.

Their entire set, costume, even the song did not have to be that color, it is more... what did that color make them feel? What did it make them think of? That feeling is what they expressed with their dance. A dance inspired by a color.

Die Oasis Dancers sind eine Tanzgruppe, die im September 2015 gegründet wurde.
Wir haben mit Bauchtanz angefangen aber haben uns rasch weiter entwickelt und zeigen Gruppen- und Solotänze und erzählen kurze Geschicht in der Sprache, die Tänzer am besten beherrschen - der Körpersprache.
Ihr gehören jetzt 15 Tänzerinnen und Tänzer an.
Für die Musik ist unsere DJane Tara zuständig.

The Oasis Dancers are a young dance troupe founded in September 2015.
We started with belly dance but we improved already and perform group dances, solo dances and short stories we tell in the language dancers speak the best - body language.
We are 15 dancers now and have our own DJane: Tara
