Join Anneke, Brooke, Chagen, Lily, Sami, and choreographer Kerri for one last back at the 1920s and 30s, when hootch was banned and there was a revolution in art and design. Join us at Dolphin Beach in beautiful, clothing optional, Kohana for this hotsy-totsy, juxtaposition of old and new, music and style, of the silly and the sensuous. DJ Saraa will be playing music on the beach after the performance. Jeepers creepers you don’t want to miss this.

Spring is here!  New life is blooming!  Perfume is in the air!  It's an exciting time! Have you ever wanted to stand up and celebrate? Maybe with friends? Spontaneously? In the park? In the shopping center?

The Spirit Light Dance Company (SLDC) has just what you need.  Starting Sunday, April 28, the SLDC will perform "Flash," its tribute to our urge to perform--wherever, whatever, with whomever!  The company will pay tribute to those impulsive moments in music and dance where the improvisational invades our otherwise ho-hum and predictable lives..

Of course, SLDC has worked hard in advance to showcase the 'improvisational'. The audience will be treated to ten dances that will bring to life the spur-of-the-moment urges to make the world a stage, settings that include everything from loading docks to railway stations to urban jungles.  But you won't tap your feet to just one style of dance. Think hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, Latin, South Asian, and even an homage to Michael Jackson.  The grand finale is typical of SLDC--grand!!  It begins with a rousing dance-off involving the whole company--a flourish of frolicking, and get-out-of-your-seat-and-run-to-the-stage excitement.  But it ends on a more muted and reflective note, summoning the words of Simon and Garfunkel.

The Spirit Light Dance Company is one of Second Life's premier dance organizations. Led by Artistic Director Caryl Meredith and a staff of volunteer choreographers, the audience can expect to see the best of dance as blended with state-of-the-art virtual-world technologies. 

The performances are April 28, May 5, and May 26. The venue is the Rockcliffe University Theater.  All performances are open to the public and begin at 12 noon, SLT.   

            Arrive by 11:30 to be sure to get a seat. This show is sure to fill up early.

Go to Toy's art gallery.  Look around.  Pick one art work that 'speaks' to you.  IM Web AND drop her a NC with the name of the art work that you have picked.  Create a dance inspired by that art.  It does not have to be a replica of the art work.  It only has to be an expression of how that art work makes you feel.  Please note: FIRST COME FIRST CLAIMED!  If you pick an art work that has already been claimed, you will have to pick something else.  So don't delay, go pick your art work today.

We did this one a LONG time ago with Elysium and it was really fun, one of my all-time fave shows I have ever done.  Time to do it again!

Another note:  Please DO NOT sign up for this show unless you fully intend to fulfill your commitment.  Overextending and then pulling out denies someone else a chance to have danced in this show.  Please DO NOT wait until the week before rehearsal to start your dance creation.  Please be professional and show some respect for the show organizers, be prepared and ready to show your dance at your scheduled rehearsal.  Thank you!

Innovation Circus was conceived from a different idea of shows already shown in second life. Not just a dance show, but a circus soul show. Cheerful and fun.
This show has been in preparation since December (2017), due to its complexity with effects, animations etc and general assembly.
Rehearsals have been done since June 2018
It is a show set at Raizes do Brazil and will be presented at European times.
It also has the participation of two dance groups: Amazon Dancers and Breezes Dancers.

Breezes Dancers: akoya2011 Resident, Lucinda Boccaccio, MonteRigi Monigal (also in Amazon Dancers), Daisy Heron, Vortex Wingtips and Venetia Cazalet.

Amazon Dancers: Cullum, Fe, Flame, Lylla, Ryimena, Reinah, Analoon, Analaura, bomxxx, Thelma, Noah, mcpol kamachi and Neiva

The show lasts 60 minutes and is divided into seven acts
