The Mynx Ballet Company is proud to resent their annual " Ballet Medley" on Saturday, February 10 at 1 PM SLT.

This season the choreography centers on Classical & Neoclassic ballets. Full of magic, enchanting dancing and costumes. This is the perfect show for new ballet audiences as well as seasoned fans.

We offer you a program for your preview. Travel arrangements have been made to pick you up by Limo.

We work hard to bring you some of the best entertainment on the grid that you come to know and expect from Guerilla Burlesque.
It’s a great show this week directed by Chrissy Rhiano and we will present acts that will take you places only your dreams can do!

Performer and group profiles charity challenge...

Hi there. (I know I've been posting a lot over the past few weeks, so I'll type slowly so you can take your time to catch up.)

We're still in the process of updating the performer and group profiles pages. Got a lot of notecards from y'all, but I know there's a whole lot more of you who have yet to respond.

So that we don't lose the historical record, the old bios and logos have moved to the bottom of the pages.

I'm thinking of priming the engine a bit. Let's say that I put down a charity challenge, offering up a donation of 100L for every valid performer profile and a donation of 200L for every valid group profile. Maximum of $100US worth of donations, and the only rule is Wheaton's Law.

First thing I'd need to know is what charity, right? I know that a lot of folks support RFL, but as good a deed they do, there's others out there too, right? There's the Autism one, which hits close to home. A few of y'all do events for them, yes?

So, let's do it. Autism Society. Hundred bucks on the line. Get those notecards in by... let's say the end of February., okay? If you don't have a notecard, ask me for one... R. Crap Mariner.

BRING IT ON!

New Firestorm feature: Chat Snooze

Hi there.

There's a new feature in Firestorm that you might find useful called Chat Snooze.
You can read more about it and other chat features in Firestorm's help wiki, but let me give you the TL;DR.

Let's say that a group chat comes in and you close the chat window. If a new message comes in, Firestorm won't open the chat window back up. You might miss something important that way, like a Dance Queens chat announcement.

However, let's say that a group chat comes in and you use Chat Snooze. That's the Zz button in the upper-right corner of a chat window.

Firestorm will close the chat window for a period of snooze time. Then, if a new message comes in after that time, Firestorm will open the chat window again.

The default snooze time is 900 seconds (15 minutes), but you can change that in Preferences >> Chat >> Chat Window >> Group Chat Snooze Duration.

This is useful if you're wanting to avoid some short-term chatter, but you still want to go back to getting group chat messages after a while.

Another option I use is the Group Chats checkbox under Preferences >> Chat >> Enable incoming chat popups. I turn that off so I only see the group chatter when I have the Conversations window open.

Anyway, thought y'all might find these useful.

So what is up with all of these raffles?!            Well.. lemme tell ya!

Dance Queens has traditionally been a passive organization, a sort of information clearinghouse.

Over the past months, I forget how many, we've seen a LOT of changes, but hey, change is good.. right?  ...RIGHT?!

One of the major changes, which actually comprises many smaller changes is the Dance Queens groups' role within the community.

IT'S TIME TO TAKE ACTION!  And, well.....we've been doing just that with the quarterly shows, and events such as the WordUp! Challenge and Tuesday night's Party in the Park chill time!

What better place to host all of these events but on our own land...that we just so happen to already have!  This land is your land.  This land is our land.. no, wait.. that's not for here! The Dance Queens land, our home, which we do get an amazingly good deal on (thank you, Tray Porthos!), however, still has to be paid for.  So....

On to the raffles with a "tally-hooooo!" 

Web had the 💡 bright idea to sponsor these raffles!  It's a fab way to help us while giving YOU (or one of you each month) something in return!   The entry fee is only L$25 and the prizes are pretty damned nice!

Our first raffle was in December and the prize was a L$1,000 animation gift card to SYNC'd!
