The Milky Way Cabaret recruiting choreographers and dancers for Sci-Fi Faire: Trek To A Cure
The Milky Way Cabaret is recruiting choreographers and dancers for the
Sci-Fi Faire: Trek To A Cure
The Trek Faire is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, and is being held in support of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. All proceeds and donations go directly to the Relay For Life charity. In the past, the Milky Way Cabaret shows have been a lot of fun and were highly appreciated, a grand event for people all over the grid to get together, celebrate 50 years of Star Trek, get their galactic groove on, and fight cancer.
The Sci-Fi Faire will be held between September 7th through September 11th, 2016. (Wednesday through Sunday)
During this time, we plan to have 6 shows on the following days and times:
Wednesday, Sept. 7 @ 12pm SLT
Friday, Sept 9 @12 pm SLT & 9 pm SLT
Saturday, Sept 10 @ 12 pm SLT & 9 pm SLT
Sunday, Sept 11 @ 12 pm SLT
The Milky Way Cabaret was started in 2014 by Tray Porthos and Imrhien Fargis, and performs annually at the Second Life Science Fiction Convention. This year, we will also be performing at the 50th Anniversary Star Trek Faire. MWC is a collaborative effort - it is our hope to get members of the dance and sci-fi communities involved. We welcome individuals and troupes to perform with us. We can offer promotional perks like billboard signs, radio ads, etc. during the Faire to give you exposure if you wish.
A general information meeting for the MWC crew and anyone interested is planned for Saturday, August 13th at 12pm SLT.
If you are interested and available as a choreographer, a dancer, a host/ess, emcee, or DJ and have any questions, please send Imrhien Fargis or Tray Porthos an IM or notecard.
