Casting Call for Oeil Du Tigre Burlesque House

An open casting call by Christee Lutrova:

    Please join me in opening a new Burlesque/Cabaret Club, Oeil Du Tigre Burlesque House.

    I am looking to hire 5 sexy choreographers/dancers that don't mind nudity and a DJ/host.

    Oeil Du Tigre Burlesque House is a  club that, to start with, will be open 4 times month, and also to start tips only.

    The music is of all genres and we will have themes for each show. If you are a DJ /Host you should be funny, classy and sensual. You will act as the host also.

    Dancers will perform in a group or alone, create their own dances that are a burlesque theme, and perform as a group for opening and closing sets. Set building is necessary. Total nudity is fine. Male dancers are encouraged to apply. I am will to train a few highly motivated people.

December DQ Showcase Sign Ups

New Showcase show for Dance Queens is December 15th at 2pm SLT. This show will be International holiday/Winter themed. So that means either an international holiday or a winter set. Please understand this theme before signing up, ask if there are questions. We will accept 12 sign ups, if you do not have a troupe to represent you can dance for Dance Queens.

Please know that with a limit, we encourage you to sign up, if you are committed to being there, real life emergencies aside. Rehearsal is usually the week before but accommodations can be made because of different time zones.

Please pick up a performer card in the Dance Queens info center and submit to Web Sass as soon as possible to hold your place as these shows fill up very fast. And TY to Babypea for helping direct!

This show will be dedicated to the memory of former Dance Queens owner Zhaza Zerbino and will have a small ceremony after, no one will be required to attend, this is just a heads up :)

Thoughts of home...

When I'm not photographing butts at some dance event, making yet another change to the Dance Queens calendar, being always classy with Debauche, or shopping for more white hair with black ribbons and bows, I tend to stay in my home park.

It's a nice quiet neighborhood. Peaceful as a living painting on my desk at work, wondering when the next pointless meeting or confrontation will happen.

The park is infested with calico cats that represent my RL cat Tinny, who is usually either sleeping on my shoulder or in my lap. And there's the reading room for the stories, the orrery ceiling, the cabinet, and all that.

Despite years of searching for nicer mesh undergrowth, the sculpty flowers with oranges and yellows and reds like Von Gogh remain. Oh, I could have told you, Vincent... that episode of Dr. Who always gets to me.

The lighting, too. I've changed out the torches and lanterns and lamps over and over, never finding quite the right ones. And then I go back to the Trident rusty lanterns.

Same with the clocks in the trees. I've changed out those clocks every so often, from simple sculpty pocketwatches to mesh hoops to hanging clocks... until something better comes around.

And then there's the sections, like the wild blueberries, the pond of tears, the piano (psst Web), the rocks, the fence, the watermelon patch... if I see something new out there, I think about where it might fit in, or if it will fit in better than something else. As long as it doesn't become Pee Wee's Playhouse of chaos.

Oh my God, the bridges I've been through, so many bridges, so many sofas and chairs and hammocks and swings... finally, I've settled that once and for all... until I find better, of course.

Still, with little tweaks and adjustments there, it's still the park.

After every show, I upload the best-of photos and drop them in the mountain gallery, and then pick out the best solo shot to add to my running best-of-the-best collection.

There were times when the park was in the Destination Guide, and then times when I asked for it to be removed. It's a hard balance to find. I've managed to keep it from becoming one of those go-to photo spots that are always full of people rubberbanding around.

It's the same with the friends list, really. Add a few... then a few too many... remove a few... then remove a few too many. Over and over and over.

But there will always be the park, and as much as it stays the same, it's never going to stay completely the same for long.

                                                    The Four elements of Life are present all around and within you.
                                                   
They are essential to all life. You and the universe are formed by these four elements: Water - Earth - Fire - Air.

These elements go beyond the physical and manifest as personality traits and energetic forces too.

The elements are here to bring balance to our world.

Each element carries its own set of qualities. No element is inherently bad or good. They each carry an equal amount of positive and negative traits.

The element of Air is vital to human survival, without it we would all perish, its aspects are Thinness, Motion and Darkness and its quality is Active.

Air is the manifestation of Movement, Freshness, Communication, Intelligence and Sound

As an element, it is invisible, but its reality can be felt in the air that we breathe in every day, and we feel it in the wind that blows around us, particularly in the season of Autumn, as fall is necessary to let go of all in nature that is no longer needed, to make way for new growth in the Spring.

Air is the power of the mind, the force of intellect, inspiration, imagination. It is ideas, knowledge, dreams and wishes.

Air is the element of new life and new possibilities and is essential to travel, and a sense of freedom.

Air is the element of the Vital Spirit of life, passing through all things, moving and filling all things.

Breezes Dancers will be performing their show Dancing Around the World at Romantica Park Venue and we would love you to join us.

Act 1 USA - Broadway
Ladies and gentlemen we start our show today by taking you to Broadway in Manhattan New York in the late 20's early 30's and the songs of Irving Berlin and Cole Porter.

Act 2 Latin America - Cumbia
Next we take you to Latin America the countries of rain forests, exciting colours, carnivals and many different styles of music and dance.

Act 3 Ireland - Enya
Now we are making the first of 2 very different visits to Ireland. Please enjoy watching us dancing to the beautiful and peaceful music of Enya.

Act 4 Greece
Now we are going to Greece and the Greek isles the places that so many Europeans love to holiday in. Hot sun, whitewashed villages, the sparkling blue sea, friendly people and wonderful music and dance outside in the evenings. Lets spend a few minutes together in Greece.

Act 5 USA - Elvis
We are going back to the USA. Elvis Presley, The King, do I need to say any more? Bits of all his best songs in one fantastic mix.

Act 6 Ireland - River Dance
We have now come to the last act of our show and we are visiting Ireland for a second time.
Irish dancing was introduced to the World as River Dance the interval act of the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest and it took the world by storm. The River Dance show which was later created has visited 450 Venues and been seen by over 25 million people. It is one of the most successful dance productions in the World. This is our own version of River Dance.

The show lasts approximately one hour.
