MADaboutDANCE Project

Born in 2014 is formed by Brazilian and Portuguese avatars and dedicated to create virtual dance collaborative projects using the Rudolf Laban improvisational methodology in the creation process.
Avatars are not puppets controlled by HUD choreographs Janjii Rugani, from the moment that each member of the group has the freedom to create their own movement exploring the expressiveness of the animations available and group training is based on the metacinese perceived by avatars a communication is through body movement and nonverbal.
 
Janjii Rugani Nataraj has been developing cultural projects and creative dance processes for 12 years, as an artist and as a
•    Choreographer
•    Stylist
•    Set designer and researcher
•    In digital and three-dimensional environments
•    And the metaverse

In 2013, Janjii, created MADaboutDance project (MAD), in the virtual world of Second Life. With dance as the central axis, MAD embraces the individual differences, backgrounds and beliefs of all cultures, and celebrates the diverse perspectives and cultural histories of all persons.

MAD, has a positive commitment to all dancers and choreographers, promoting appreciation, confidence, discipline, and respect through the art of dance, creating inclusion.

MaHal

We are from Japan, so our show is given on Sunday mornings. For the first two years we danced in couples. And for a year we belly-danced. Now we have Burlesque shows.

Men In Motion

Men In Motion was originally created to highlight the skills and talent of men from many different dance troupes from all over the grid.   It is open to all male dancers in the dance community.  The show is produced by Sebastian Bourne, with the help of a few others.  We give special thanks to Paul Woodrunner for supporting us and giving us our start.  We needed more space this year so it made using Empire room difficult.  But we may be back there in the future.

Men In Motion performs three times a year usually.  January, June, and Movember.  It has been customary that the first two shows the tips are split among the directors and the last show the tips are collected for the Movember Foundation.  This may change in the future and more of our shows be for the charity.

The Movember Foundation.  https://us.movember.com/  Even though this site link goes to the US site, the Foundation itself is international.  MIM has raised funds for the Movember Foundation for the past two years now, this coming November hopes to raise a lot more.

MoonShadow Dancers

Welcome to the MoonShadow Dancers Theatre,  a glorious Moroccan themed dance theatre that showcases some of the very best dancers & choreographers in Second Life. The Mynx Dance Company provides a home for artists, teachers, and performers from throughout Second Life. Our theater is a hub for the performing arts, a welcoming space that brings the dance community together. 
Our main focus is to introduce audiences  to a wide spectrum of dance forms through our very talented choreographers and dancers.
The Mynx Ballet Company was established in April of 2014 by Kyser and Taema Mynx.

The Night Theater

A dance troupe that will bring you the magic possible only in SL. Where the magic flows free between Dusk and Dawn....and tales take form from pixels....weaving a neverending tapestry of twilight stories..... SL dance is my passion. And The Night Theater is my own Theater and where my creativity flows free.

We have been involved in various projects as RLF, The Dance Queens Dance Galaxy, The Scifi Con with Milkyway Cabaret 2015+2016, Fantasy Fairie 2015+2016 and 2017, SL B12+SL B13 and One Billion Rising. We have also guested LEA in the fall of 2015 and early spring 2016 where we held The Festival of the Wicked for Halloween 2015 among other things. We have been happy to be part of the Fallen Gods celebrations for Yule and the yearly anniversary the last couple of years too.

Nouvelles Follies

The Nouvelles Folies was created in August of 2019 by Shadow Tarber and Aelva.
Our team of seasoned second life dancers create themed variety shows on regular basis. We have performed around the grid for a few years visiting Fantasy Faire and making themed shows for the Enchantment events every quart of the year. Starting this year, we have moved in with The Night Theater and will move on to a monthly themed show of our own picking, new adventures await!

Noir Neverland

Hello and welcome to Noir Neverland!  I'm your lil guide to the show.  Every Thursday night at 6pm SLT we break out the best of burlesque and even vaudeville.  We have it all for your entertainment!   We are Adults so there might be nudity at times - not suitable for child avatars.

We have a beautiful, magical and Peter Pan- themed venue with comfortable benches, an enormous stage, great lighting, a terrific DJ (who also owns the joint and dances as well) ... a big sense of humour, and a kind and welcoming spirit.

We hope you enjoy your time with us, and to help our performers make all their particles and special effects work properly, please try to reduce lag as much as possible by leaving those high-script items at home.

If you need any assistance please contact the Noir hostess, Siobhan (Qorell Resident). She is always willing to lend a helping hand!

So again, welcome to Noir where we never grow completely up, and prepare to be a little naughty with us!

Oasis Dancers

The group was founded in the Summer of 2015 by Luella. We started with belly dance, but improved fast and now we perform dances for different music styles. At the moment, the group are 8 female and 3 male dancers. 7 members of the group create own dances we take to the stage in case the group decides to perform them. We are a team. Besides one woman, nobody dances with other groups alone. We carry the work at many shoulders. Besides the choreo people, are busy with other stuff for the group like organization, administration, streaming, finding discounts for costumes, advertising, managing the fangroup and so on.

Since September 2017 we started to dance with another dance group - Debauche - together at stage. First for the grand opening of our theatre and second for our Christmas program. Both groups decided to continue the successful work and I think it´s a win-win situation for both teams. We see already how the work influences both groups in a very positive way.
