Couples Dancing - Waiting Between Songs 111010
When live musicians or DJs play at my club, I often ask a couple to dance on stage using the INTAN or TIS Hybrid System. Several times I have been asked, "How can we stop dancing between songs or when there is a break?" Wow, what a great idea! Stopping dancing when the music stops makes the visual look even better.
There are three ways to do this:
1. Hop off the pose balls - This stops the dancing, but does not look too good. Then when the music again begins, sometimes new pose balls need to be rezzed using the INTAN or TIS Hybrid system resulting in a delay. Again this does not look too good.
2. Put a waiting dance in the INTAN or TIS Hybrid - If you control the INTAN or TIS Hybrid like I do, it is possible to put a dance in the INTAN that has the couple each just wiggling a little bit. An individual dance like rythm6 can be put in the INTAN or TIS Hybrid and the INTAN notecard modified. If you don't have access to the INTAN or TIS Hybrid, this won't work. Plus, it requires a lot of clicking sometimes to get to the waiting dance. If you have 160 couples dances in your INTAN or TIS Hybrid like I do, the clicking just is not worth it.
3. Use the INTAN or TIS Hybrid and your Dance HUD - Dances are animations and are set by a priority system built into the dance. Generally, but not always, when you start a new animation the one you were doing is replaced by the new one. Couples dances with a few exceptions (like the Liquid series from Sine Wave) are usually one animation per avatar. You can have the INTAN or TIS Hybrid dance going then switch to a waiting dance using your Dance HUD, for example, using rythm6. This switches the dancer from the couples dance to rythm6. If you include your partner in your HUD, both of you start dancing rythm6. As soon as the music begins again, you can stop rythm6 and the couples dance resumes or you can select a new couples dance. Depending on the couples dance that you were originally dancing, you may find the couple facing each other or facing the same direction when you switch to the waiting dance.
