Dancer Jargon?

Hi there, I'm back.

So, during Elayn's class tonight, the topic of Second Life dancer jargon came up.
Jargon (n) the technical terminology or characteristic idiom of a special activity or group
The first term that came up was "Ball Warmer." I believe that refers to someone who just puts on a costume and rides a mover as a dancer, doing nothing else.

What are some other terms that we use in dance?

Put them in the comments.

  1. what a great topic!

mover/pad - an object the dancer sits on during the dance to stay in position and often be moved by the choreographer. Spot on movers, SZI pads, pose balls, DPC pads - all are often referred to as movers or pads interchangeably. Example: "you are on mover number 2" means sit on the movement system prim labeled number 2.
