If it’s Friday, it’s Elysium Cabaret! Fancy some imagination in a fun social setting? In The Empire Room at Copperhead Road, every Friday at 6pm SLT, the dynamic performers of Elysium Cabaret take the stage to bring you a solid hour of entertainment! 

Featuring elaborate sets, stunning costumes and choreography sequenced to an eclectic genre of music, Elysium Cabaret offers something for everyone.

After our monochrome month of March ....SPRING has finally sprung! We will be celebrating the colors and beauty of flowers. The view of a flower from any angle is an everlasting delight. It becomes the subject of school poems and sometimes seems to be the core factor of poetry. It is difficult to describe nature without giving allusion to the flowers! Tonight we celebrate their beauty through dance....Join us on this journey through natures beauty!

The after party will be out on the spring plaza under the stars. There DJ Dune will be spinning the tunes while the rest of us shake our booty on La Machine!
ColmMidnight Resident will be having an exhibition on the plaza! So the best after party on the grid will be surrounded by his beautiful creations!

9 am: CHOOSING ANIMATIONS FOR A DANCE, Poses, Dance Animations, and Other Animations

It seems like there are more animations than ever to choose from - but how do you pick? I'll be sharing how I choose dance animations and my favorite stores. But why limit yourself to just dance animations? Strong starting and ending poses can really make a dance, and don't forget walks, gestures, and other dramatic animations can be used in your choreography. Poses too!

10:30 am: SPOT ON SMOOTH DANCER - FOCUS ON SEQUENCES, Creating, Recording, Editing, and Playing Dance Sequences

Let's play as we go over what this animation HUD does best - create sequences! Smooth Dancer is my #1 recommended Spot On foundation tool for creating dances. Not only can you create your own manual sequences, it can record the timing of your animations as you play them - creating the sequence for you!

It is with great pleasure that we present the show Earth, Wind & Fire with Amazon Dancers!

This show is in tribute of Earth, Wind & Fire, a renowned band from the United States was founded by Maurice White, who created Kalimba (African musical instrument), the group's trademark until today

The group was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was included in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, included in the Hollywood RockWalk and Maurice and Philip in the vocalists' Hall of Fame.

Throughout his career, Earth, Wind & Fire sold more than 80 million records, won 40 Music American Awards, 7 Grammys, in addition to 22 nominations for the same award

The show lasts for 70 min in 5 acts.

We invite you to join a unique event, a stellar creation of music and grace. The Stardance troupe will delight the Midnight Cabaret with a performance titled "Stardance at Midnight". Then we will offer music and fun until we run out of steam!

◈ About Stardance and Laura ◈

Stardance is a new dance troupe organized by Laura to express her growing interest in choreography. After a long career in modelling and fashion shows, and mixed mode shows such as Burlesque with House of Heartsdale.

She discovered the world of dance (aside from a short stint in a ballet troupe long ago) a few years ago.

For the past two years she's been going to see dance events and recently decided to try her hand at choreography.. She asked some friends if they'd be interested in joining a new troupe and thus Stardance was born.

 

This show, Laura's first, is to celebrate Ermine Cortes' birthday.

For the future, Laura has many ideas for new dances, from the music she loves, including potentially some classics from Italy, the country she's from. But also anything from many genres, from ragtime to blues to classic rock to... who knows? We hope you'll be there too :)

The Costume Cringe! 

Here's what they were told: Go shopping. Find a costume that is high quality, well-made BUT NOT something that you would wear. Something that you would NEVER wear. Something that makes you say, "That's a really nice costume, I think so-and-so would love it, but it's not me. I can't see me in it." Get that costume. Then create a dance inspired by it. 

 Some really amazing creations came out of the last time we did this, so jump in and go wild!
